Interface-Todos of Android & iPhone

Getting things Done apps, or commonly known as Todo apps are the most widely used productivity mobile apps around. Even those who dont use it, have it, just for the hell of it. Organizing life is an ongoing process or some like me would call it – “A loosing battle”. But since the advent of iPhone, theres been a renewied interest in these Todos. Users are making efforts to use them as effectively as possible and With purpose.
But then How long will we stick to it? Will the information be lost? Will the zest, the love for these Todos fade away? Would we eventually jump to a new Todo and start over??
iPhone and Apple’s Human Interface Guidlines have brought or rather forced one simple decleration. INTERFACE and DESIGN RULEZ! Its true though isnt it? We use apps that are more visually appealing than others? Now we realise how important these factors are in any kind of app Specially Productivity!
Enter the Productivity apps of Android and iPhone! Lets check out Android Market!
Google has promoted its taskList service gmail.com/tasks. Web apps, But we’re concerned about platform native apps that “force” us to use it. (cuz we cant resist it!). Android because of the way its made, keeps things very hand. Its got a great Notification system and really functional status bar whether its calender events or SMSes etc.
Here some great todo apps for Android Remember the Milk, Astrid, gTask
Astrid stands out in Android todo apps. Great interface and design, reliable and above all, FREE!
gTask is an offline Task List. It keeps things simple and rich.
Doit, Paid app, worthy of mentioning
Okay, wait, We were supposed to see some apps that’ll blow us away! Android, will have one, hopefully and soon. But its not there yet. So in our quest to see some blow away apps, lets switch to iPhone and check out its App Store for a change.. (Hey, I said this before, we’re not Android fan boys, we just like quality stuff which is Android itself but at the moment iPhone has some Quality todo Apps)
The LIST of great Todo apps for iPhone is pretty long but lets choose two great apps that serve our purpose, 2Do and Things

Both these apps offer a wide array of features coupled with great interface, design. In other words, they’re the best Todo Apps out there today.
Things has a very simplified interface, They made an effort to keep it as simple, sleek as possible which caters to a wide audience, while 2Do‘s interface design is simply on steriods! Its all custom made with some amazing animations. What makes it different? Its not just a simple app with amazing interface, it offers reliable functionality and features that no other app does. Guided Ways Technologies simply made a complete app!
Both these apps cater to Wide users, While I like amazing interface, animations, bling bling.. the Things guys prefer simple, sleek error free and reliable app. Both of them have a market! Although, 2Do has the ability to grab some of Things thing! 2Do supports Themes
You see apps like these on your mobile device and you feel compelled to organize, cuz these apps are so damn good!! And this or rather these kinds of apps are. at the moment, missing in Android.

I think Taskos To do List is probably the BEST to do list on the android market.
It has a speech to text feature which is just a killer IMHO.
I’ve by no means been large fan of Apple but I’ve to admit that the iphone is sort of good!
I’d prefer to know if this subject concerning the iphone 4 is important or not. I would like to buy the brand new one and I was questioning if the calls truly drop more or not. Sorry if it is a bit off topic
Many thanks

I love the 2do app it works great. I use this app all of the time
the only thing I don’t like about the 2do app is the calender. I usually have to use the calender from my phone when I need a calender
Thanks a lot pertaining to talking over this specific issue. My spouse and i concur using your conclusions. The points that the data reported are quality on actual encounters help a lot more.
I am a little afraid that Apple is getting too big. that is never a good thing. Look what Google is becoming as they totally have the search market cornered. It means they can raise prices almost at will because people have no good alternative. We need better competition!
I have enjoyed using 2Do on my iphone but I may just try ‘Things’. Like the commenter above, I just can’t stand the calendar – hopefully ‘Things’ has a better one and the same useability of ’2do’
I somehow agree with the calendar being ‘unmanageable’, the application on it’s whole is perfect for me. Actually, they should have come up with a better idea on that calendar thing. Well I guess it’s true when they say you can’t have everything.
nothing much has changed, whilst some android phones are very stylish and feature packed, they just cant compete with the number of excellent apps on the iPhone
