HTC Magic spotted in a sleek pro black shiny plates! This really does look like its got what we wanted in an Android device. Vodafone has officially announced the HTC Magic for UK this April.

The pictures dont show the Vodafone logo. You know what that means!? it means, either this is a test prototype Magic (which would be SAD) or HTC has got plans to offer an unlocked version of Magic later this year or their just going to offer choices (like in G1). Which makes me think, why wasn’t unlocked G1 offered? Maybe cuz Google is promoting G1 unlocks as Developer versions with several open mods.
So all past speculations of which Device will be the second Android phone are probably declared as Null and VOID! Never did I think, HTC would release two Android products back to back. I didn’t think the other Majors – Samsung, Motorola, LG, would go into hibernation. Android, at this stage has the potential to drive global sales and HTC is the Only manufacturer thats benefiting.
Meanwhile, Android Market now features paid apps. However, the Developer G1s cant access the Paid Apps. Thats a bummer, Google should have devised a better plan to prevent illegal downloads/usage.
