Android App Spotlight: CoursePro for Students

I have not written much about Android Applications. There are few applications on the web that are really productive and even fewer that are actually serve purpose the students, apart from Games of course ;)

Enter: CoursePro from Make Mobile Innovations

CoursePro is available at a price of $3.99. With some brilliant reviews. Students inevitably will be the largest Android User groups in the future, once we have a few more devices. And CoursePro will be a great app to have on every Android phone. Whats more? It’ll give you its  own report card ;) Here’s an extract from their Website.

CoursePro is an easy to use application for students to keep track of courses, assignments, and grades. We are excited to announce the arrival of CoursePro for Google’s Android platform.

With CoursePro, you can keep track of your school assignments using a simple to-do style list that has been specifically designed for students. Define Assignment Types—such as quiz, homework, project, or lab—to keep track of your weighted grades the way your professor does. CoursePro automatically keeps a current report card, so you can see exactly what your grades are at any time. You get a full grades break down by assignment type. CoursePro even allows you to specify which Assignment Types have ‘drops’. Coursepro will then automatically drop the lowest graded assignments for that type.

CoursePro demo app is available for download

Awesome blog. Thanks so much for providing all the Android phone users out there a great place to find information about their phones and the great Android apps that are available. I’m pretty pumped to see how the Android Market is going to evolve as I think this is close to the relative time in the lifecycle of iPhone apps and the App Store when refinement of ideas and technology started to really take off!

Certainly an exciting time to be an Android phone user. Thanks again!
