A strange move.. but Google has blocked listing of paid android applications on G1s that are unlocked. This looks to be targeted specifically toward the Android Developer Phone 1 – ADP1. We cant confirm whether this block has affected those who unlocked their regular G1s.
It makes perfect sense if only ADP1 has been struck. ADP1 is a developer phone. Its distributed to developers who paid a membership fee and $400 for the G1 device. ADP is distributed and promoted as a testing ground for all developers. That way Google keeps their clients HTC happy and support- Developers happy.
Apparently ADP was able to download paid apps / copy-right protected app free.
I guess this move was necessary. Google had to protect and support the application developers and make its Market free of such illegal activities.
Hopefully this blocks Paid app access only to ADP1. and Not the unlocked G1s. Can anyone confirm this?
The other side of arguement is the assumption of all developers who have ADP1 to be abusive and rendering their $400 device non-functional in this aspect atleast. Surely their could have been a much better way of dealing with this. Lets see… aa.. how about making Market more secure??

Only *forward locked* paid applications are not available from the ADP1. These applications are marked by their authors as having an extra protection that prevents the user from copying the apk out of the phone. “Normal” paid applications are available on ADP1.
