X11 hack runs OS within Android

Theres much talk of Android’s openness and put to debate by Symbian Foundation’s Execs calling it a “marketing” gimmic. And Google retaliating by talking about membership fee demanded by Symbian Foundation.

I’d say one major factor that defines any Operating System’s opennes is the End users freedom to heavily mod the OS without any legal threats. Its true that Android is Linux’s baby but Android is not equal to Linux! Google may have maintained a little control over it. Its too early to passout a judgement with Android’s only one device out.
