A new shot – OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner On screen keyboard. Its kinda similar to the videos I saw on Youtube but with more screen space. Looks pretty neat. It looks different (has to) from the “Cupcake” on screen keyboard that’s on youtube (unreleased Android Update) probably cause they (koolu) are making their own version.

What remains to be seen is FreeRunner’s touch performance. This is where the hardware pulls in and where iPhone excels in. Apple’s acquisition of Fingerworks company made wonders for them. Fingerworks R&D pioneered the multi-touch, gestures with their slew of patents.
Neo Freerunner is being offered for $279 – Developer edition with git Koolu image (look to your right). You will need linux experience. As some of you probably know, Koolu has been working on an Android image for a while.. and hasnt yet reached retail stage. You’ll be required to do some app testing as well .. i guess
Please note that this offer is only for people with significant linux experience/ developers as Android for the Freerunner still has some rough edges and future updates will be freely made available on our website and will need to be installed through a linux running computer.
