Google Ads on Android (G1) and iPhone

Google AdWords and Image Ads are now include T-Mobile G1 ( Android ) and iPhone as one of the advertising spaces. This comes as no surprise to any of us. Its popular opinion that Google entered mobile zone to capture mobile advertising before anyone else does.

Now, advertisers will be able to display ads exclusively on these mobile devices, create campaigns for them, and get separate performance reporting. If you prefer not to show your desktop ads on these phones, you can opt out and show ads only on desktop and laptop computers.

Google utilizes opensource Webkit that powers iPhone’s Safari as well as Android’s Chrome. Ofcourse this is a great place for advertising to explore new ad campaigns.

As an End User, someone whos not an advertiser who simply uses these mobile phones, the only pinching issue here is how far/aggressive would these campaigns go … and clogg our already small LCD screens. But Google has its standards, it’ll find a way to co-exist! hopefully!
