3.5mm Jack for G1

Many of my earliar posts I critiqued the lack of 3.5mm Jack (actually everyone in the world did) on G1. I just can’t live with propriety dictation. Well, HTC has been listening, not completely though.. but, oh well..

The newer T-Mobile G1s are being supplied with a 3.5mm adapter jack which is apparently inline coupled also with a microphone. And does look sleek!

This comes a huge relief and quiet frankly a surprise from the HTC. They have some love for their own propriety stuff. I guess they realised that It cannot redefine industry standards.

All existing owners may have to buy the adapter.

Somehow I got some new found respect for the 3.5mm Jack!

Now lets wait for another hot request for HTC, how about redesigning the whole G1 eh?
